The following pages display the projects and ideas for public space designed, produced and presented by esterni during a 12-year work for the city through a public design movement.

With the passing of time, these projects have been implemented and often produced with the support of enlightened and far-sighted private companies and public institutions; their crucial help prevents the projects from remaining mere abstract ideas.

Conceived in Milan, and inspired by a constant and careful analysis of the city, they can be easily adjusted to other situations and put into practice in any city of the world.
They were separated into classes for easier consultation: street furniture, services, events.

The projects are not protected by copyright; this catalogue urges in fact public and private administrators to draw inspiration and produce them, as long as they are not used for advertising purposes; furthermore, it encourages everyone to imagine a different city.
